What We Believe

  • The Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. In the Bible, we find revelation of God's will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority of the Christian life.
II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21

  • There is one God, the Creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and eternally exists in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
    Mark 12:29; Matthew 3:16-17; Philippians 2:6; John 1:1-5, 14; 14:8-9, 15-20, 26-31

  • Jesus Christ is True God and true man. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of all men. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and is now at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.
    Matthew 1:23; Matthew 28:1-6; Hebrews 12:2

  • Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through regeneration of the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation.
    Genesis 1:26; 3:16-24; Romans 5:12; John 3:16; Romans 10:9-13; Philippians 2:9-11

  • Water baptism and the Lord's supper are ordinances to be observed by the church during the present age. However, they are not to be regarded as a means of salvation.
    I Corinthians 15:3-4

  • The present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ. During this age, He indwells, guides, instructs and empowers the believer for godly living and service.
    Ephesians 2:10

  • Every born-again believer should maintain a consistent study of God's Word and prayer life.
    II Timothy 2:15; I Thessalonians 5:17

  • The Body of Christ is composed of all those who are born again. Through this new birth we are united together. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church. Every local church has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs.
    Ephesians 5:23; Acts 20:28

  • The personal, pre-millennial and imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
    I Thessalonians 4:14-17

  • There will be a bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting joy with the Lord in heaven, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment in hell.
    I Thessalonians 4:14-17; Revelation 19:6-9;
    Revelation 20:11-15

  • In the eternal security of the believer. Once saved, always saved.
    John 3:16; Romans 10:13; Romans 8:38-39
